Keepin’ It Real: How I Deal With Stress

May 14, 2019May 13, 2019Leave a comment

Not too long ago I was enjoying breakfast with my boyfriend at one of our favorite local diners. It had been a slow, roll-out-of-bed Saturday morning -- Just what I needed after another busy week at the hospital. But somewhere between easy conversation & bottomless coffee, my mind suddenly shifted into high-gear. While going over … Continue reading Keepin’ It Real: How I Deal With Stress

Fiercely Real: 4 Ways To Find YOUR Fit

Sweaty start to my week at Pure Barre! 💦 • It’s easy to become discouraged on the days you DIDN’T do enough — didn’t wake up early, didn’t spend wisely, didn’t get that workout in, didn’t feel 100% yourself... Now, I’m seeing each new day as a fresh start. Today, focus on the DO’S instead of the DIDN’T. • Whether your fitness goal is weight loss, muscle gains, a new PR or to finish your first race — it’s important to focus on how far you have come, rather than what still lies ahead. Setting mini goals for yourself — “Today I will hold a plank for 30 seconds more than last week” — is a good way to track progress without getting overwhelmed by your long-term goals. • I haven’t been on here in awhile because I’ve been trying to LIVE life rather than document it. BUT, know that I’m still here, trekking along with you in my wellness journey, & finding my own kind of B A L A N C E in it all. 🌟 • What will you do to get moving towards your goals today?
